Our roles in combating global warming

All the world leaders are now in Copenhagen for the summit. But does everyone aware about this? All over the place in the world people or the humankind are showing and letting their feelings known to the world that people are together trying to save the world from the effect of global warming. It was shown through rallies, gatherings, and demonstration. But, what happen to Malaysia. Are we not aware about this? Sad to say, we are still fighting on political grounds, differences in opinion, who is the Menteri Besar, party hopping, etc. While in fact, all the people in the world are fighting on basically the last chance to save our world and preserve all the humankind.

As an engineer, materials and corrosion by professional, we are wondering what can we do to play our roles in preventing all this. As you are aware, all the things that we do require energy. Just a basic thought, if we have a steel, and we don't protect it against corrosion, then we need to make a new steel to replace the rusted steel of either our structure, assets or anything that use steel. In order to make the new steels, we then require more energy to produce the new steel to replace the old one. Just imagine on how much of CO2 is produced in making new and new steel just to replace the old one because it is rusted. Isn't it a waste. In fact, if we protect it against corrosion, the same steel structure can be used over and over again for a long period of time. Just imagine if the Eifel Tower need to be replaced with a new steel, how much CO2 will be released. So, thanks to all the Materials and Corrosion Engineers, Scientist, Technician, and Academicians for inventing paints for corrosion protection. By this, we have contributed to a vast amount of CO2 release saving.

So all, just think of this, those who require materials and corrosion services, do contact us. And just imagine, by protecting your assest against corrosion, you are also contributing towards saving the world from the global warming effect. Save ALL, protect ALL, fight against corrosion. We are here to help.
